Murder accomplice enters not guilty plea in slaying of man and his dog

A 39-year-old inmate has entered a not-guilty plea to complicity to murder and animal cruelty charges in connection to the murder of a Kentucky man and his dog in a parking garage in Frankfort.

Nena M. Washington was the second suspect arrested for the September 4 slaying of Coty Brumback, 24.

According to authorities, Antonio Bolling, 40-year-old, has fatally shot Brumback and his dog amid a heated argument. Bolling is also facing murder charges.

Washington remains in the Franklin County Regional Jail since her arrest on September 20. Her bail is set at $100,000.

According to Kentucky law, an accomplice deserves the same potential penalty as the person who committed the crime.
