State troopers searching for a person wanted for fatally stabbing man in Wicomico County.

Soldiers from the state of Maryland are searching for a wanted person for mortally stabbing a man on Sunday night in Wicomico County.

Police identified the suspect as Cobey Mishler, 18, of Salisbury. Mishler is wanted for murder, the police said.

Officials said the victim was identified as 18-year-old Seth Abbey in Salisbury. Abbey was transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff.

Shortly after 10 pm, the Salisbury Barracks received a 911 call stabbed in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Beagle Block Drive 1000 at Salisbury. Soldiers and emergency medical personnel responded and found the victim wounded with knives.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was with his girlfriend at the time of the crime. According to the investigators, three white men were on a bicycle and approached their girlfriend. Shortly after, an altercation ensued between the victim and the men.

Police described Mishler as 5 feet 10 inches, 110 pounds with brown hair and a medium build.
