Hamden authorities are looking for a suspect accused of trying to lure a 13-year-old girl into his vehicle on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Capt. Ronald Smith, the incident occurred on Jones Road where the man stopped his older model red Honda Accord sedan and approached the teen: "Investigation revealed that a 13-year-old Hamden resident was walking her dog on Jones Road. She was approached by an individual described as a black male, 30s, with yellow teeth," Smith said. "He first asked her to tell him her name. He then stated, 'You should get in the vehicle.' The teen refused his request."
Authorities are urging anyone with information that could lead to the suspect to call Hamden police at 203-230-4030.
