American '5Dimes Casino' founder discovered buried in shallow grave one year after abduction

William Sean Creighton, an American bookie who has been abducted on Sept. 24, 2018, has been found dead in Costa Rica.

The 43-year-old was heading home from work, driving his Porsche Cayenne Turbo when he was pulled over by two men wearing Costa Rican traffic officer uniforms. As he stopped, four other men in a gray pickup approached and kidnapped him.

The next day, Creighton's family received a call from the suspects asking for a $5 million ransom. The family paid $1 million ransom, but Creighton never came back home.

The 5Dimes casino founder's remains were discovered in a shallow grave in a Quepos cemetery. "We can confirm Costa Rican authorities identified the remains of a U.S. citizen in Costa Rica," according to the U.S. State Department.
