A Connecticut 11-year-old boy called 911 as his mother was being stabbed 30 times by her furious husband who accused her of cheating on him.
Police responded on Wednesday to the call to find Monica Dominguez in a pool of blood and her husband with stab injuries. Both were rushed to separate hospitals but Dominguez succumbed to her injuries.
The victim has sustained several cuts and stab wounds to her throat but managed to tell the police officers "he tried to kill me, he said I cheated on him."
At the time of the murder, the couple's son and 2-year-old daughter were home.
The husband, identified as Emanuel Dominguez-Villagomez, was charged with first-degree assault, risk of injury, reckless endangerment and unlawful restraint. His charges are expected to be upgraded.
