The man who randomly killed a woman in Washington DC while running near her home last September was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Friday, according to a report.
Anthony Crawford, 24, pleaded guilty in June to stabbing Wendy Martinez, 35, to death while jogging near Logan Circle.
A judge sentenced Crawford to 30 years in prison for Friday's murder.
Martinez, who had just become engaged, fell into a restaurant after stabbing himself and collapsed, police said at the time.
The video surveillance of the scene shows the bleeding technician's neck inside the restaurant and imploring people to ask for help.
DC Police Chief Peter Newsham said after the massacre that it was a rare and shocking crime in the city.
