New York City news, New York news.

A decomposed body was found in a Bronx residence after neighbors called 911 to report a foul odor coming from the second-floor apartment.

The male's corpse was found Friday evening at around 5 p.m. after residents of 2323 Creston Ave. in Fordham Heights called the police to report the foul odor. Responding officers discovered the decaying body which is suspected to have been there for at least a week. The body's chest and wrists were slashed and it was bound in duct tape from the waist to the ankles, according to police.

"Right now, it's a suspicious D.O.A.," said a police source. "The medical examiner is going to have to determine the cause of death."

No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
