Venomous spider found in Missouri woman's ear

Kansas news, Missouri news.

A Missouri woman had been living with more than 30 venomous brown recluse spiders that invaded her newly purchased home.

But Susie Torres, who hate these creatures, has never imagined having one spider living in her ear without biting her for days.

"It was like when you went swimming and you have all of that water in your ear," she said adding that at first, she thought that when she woke up Tuesday morning with "swooshing" in her ear, she believed that the reason might be a reaction to an allergy shot.

When she finally decided to visit a doctor, she learned that a dime-sized brown recluse was in her ear. The spider was removed and Torres has become more cautious: "I went and put some cotton balls in my ears last night," she said.
