Otsego news, Michigan news.

A 57-year-old Catholic priest from Michigan faces a false charge of imprisonment after wrapping a teenager in plastic and ribbon and keeping him in a janitor's closet for over an hour, according to investigators Thursday, describing the crime as a "sexual crime".

The teenager's family asked Stanley for advice before apparently putting him in plastic and putting tape on his mouth and eyes.

The archives of the diocese of Kalamazoo released in October 2018 showed that Stanley "had been engaging in this type of behavior with binding documents for decades," said the prosecutor.

The diocese stated that he reported the incident to the police at the time, but no charges were laid. Stanley was discharged and expelled from the Crown.

Stanley faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted. He was detained on bail of $ 100,000.
