According to a report, a sun-bathing showdown in Connecticut led on Monday to a charge of violation of the peace and risk of injury of a minor against a 28-year-old woman.

Police said Anna Halderman of Norwalk was arrested on Saturday after she went to the police. The incident occurred on July 15 at Compo Beach in Westport, reported Fox 61 Hartford.

The investigation began when police reported receiving a phone call from a woman on the beach with her young child, the station reported.

The complainant stated that Halderman had appeared to be drunk, according to the press release.

In a later interview, Halderman told the police that she did not remember what she had done but apologized for her behavior, according to the press release.

Halderman did not have a lawyer yet, the police said.
