Woman crashes into motorcyclist, continues driving with victim trapped under car

A Montgomery County woman has been charged with homicide by vehicle and DUI among other charges after a deadly crash that cost the life of a 41-year-old Norristown woman.

The victim, Lakiesha Richet, was riding a 2005 Kawasaki on Route 202 when she was struck from the back by a 2015 Chevy Equinox driven by 27-year-old Courtney Clinton. After the crash, Clinton continued her way and drove over Richet trapping her under the car. Police said that the suspect drove for at least 204 feet with the victim still trapped beneath the SUV before stopping.

Richet was pronounced dead at the scene. Toxicology tests on the suspect's blood revealed a BAC of .138 percent and she was believed to drive at 74 mph in the 45 mph limit zone before the crash.
