6-month-old dies mysteriously while in mom's care in Bronx

Bronx police are trying to solve the mysterious death of a 6-month-old girl who became unresponsive and died inside her family's Bronx house last Friday.

According to authorities, the child who was later identified as Charlie McCall was in the care of her mom and appeared to be normal and healthy but, suddenly, she lost her life at around 9 p.m. inside the house located on Jefferson Place near Clinton Avenue in Morrisania.

The scared mother then called the police and the toddler was transported to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital where her death was pronounced.

McCall's little body has not shown any sign of trauma. Meanwhile, the cause of death is expected to be determined by the Medical Examiner.
