Boston news, Massachusetts news.

A Boston woman has been ruled unfit to stand trial in the stabbing attack that occurred last July.

31-year-old Julie Tejeda has stabbed EMT Elaina McAlister while being transported in an ambulance. The suspect's defense team, as well as the Worcester Recovery Center, have issued a report indicating that "in their opinion, the defendant is presently not competent."

Tejeda is slated to return to Worcester Recovery and her case will be reviewed again in six months.

"Boston EMS' first and primary concern, is the health and safety of our personnel," Boston EMS said in a statement. "The EMTs involved in the attack last month are continuing to recover. They have not returned to work. As a result of today's hearing we hope Ms. Tejeda will receive the treatment that she needs."
