Philadelphia news, Pennsylvania news.

The daughters of Philadelphia mayor Jim Kenney and a New Jersey city councilor were arrested earlier this week after fighting in a strip-lined street in Jersey Shore, police said.

Authorities say the altercation between 25-year-old Nora Kenney of Philadelphia and 27-year-old Tara Tolomeo took place early August 11 in North Wildwood.

Captain John Stevenson told NJ Advance Media that the two women were arrested around 1:40 am after police arrested them fighting in the city's nightclub neighborhood.

The reasons for their alleged fight were unclear. Tolomeo's mother, Kellyann Tolomeo, has been on the North Wildwood City Council since 2007, PhillyVoice announced.

Tolomeo and Kenney have been accused of disorderly conduct, punishable by fines and not by jail, NJ Advance Media quoted officials as saying.
