Overnight shootings in Boston sent three people to hospital with life-threatening injuries

At least two shootings have occurred early Tuesday morning prompting authorities to launch an intensive investigation to identify the perpetrators who remain at large.

The first shooting unfolded at 49 Wildwood St. in Mattapan at around 1:30 a.m. One person has been injured in the shooting.

Nearly three hours later, authorities were called to report about a second shooting in the intersection of Blue Hill Avenue and Devon Street in the area of Roxbury. Two men have been seriously injured.

The three victims were sent to the hospital for treatment. Police said that they don't suspect the shootings to be connected.

No arrests have been made so far as the investigation into the incidents continues.
