Nashville news, Tennessee news.

Cheatham County Sheriff's deputies arrested Det. Det. From the Police Department of the Metropolitan City of Nashville. Megan Hoffman and her boyfriend Jonathan Mahoney, both 34, on Tuesday after an alleged domestic assault.

Hoffman is accused of hitting her boyfriend in the face during an argument.

Mahoney told deputies that Hoffman "destroyed the house" during the fight, according to court documents. He also told members that video cameras are installed at home.

Deputies found debris in a corridor leading to a bedroom. Once in the room, said MPs, they found a computer screen that was "out of order and unusable."

The deputies said that wires had been pulled from the DVR connected to the camera system and that it was broken, adding that "the bedroom was in disarray".

When deputies asked Mr. Mahoney to go into the details of the fight, he refused to give more information without the presence of a lawyer.

Deputies said that when they interviewed Hoffman, she said Mahoney hit her with a hammer. She told members that she wanted to be treated in the emergency room.

Investigators said they were unable to determine which party was the main assailant, adding that Mahoney told deputies that he and his girlfriend were separating and drinking.
