Bensalem news, Pennsylvania news.

The arrest of a Pennsylvania suspect who was driving while intoxicated has turned aggressive when she bit an officer in the leg.

30-year-old Jessica Hayes was spotted driving at 70 mph in a 35 mph area. She ignored the police orders to pull over and fled the scene. According to prosecutors, Hayes continued her way "reaching speeds of 60 miles per hour while weaving in and out of traffic." Authorities decided to stop chasing her "due to the substantial risk of injury to the public."

Hayes was reported to the police again shortly later when she went to a bank and acted suspiciously. She attacked responding officers causing them minor injuries, biting one of them on his leg."We're lucky no one else was injured by her reckless behavior on a busy Saturday," prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.
