Philadelphia news, Pennsylvania news.

Pennsylvania authorities were finally able to identify the pregnant mother and her kid who died late Thursday night in Berks County after severe storms hit the area.

According to officials, the victims were identified as Pamela Snyder, 30-year-old, and her 9-year-old son, Preston Dray. They were pronounced dead after their car was swept away by floodwaters on Pine Forge Road.

At around 4:30 p.m., the eight-month pregnant woman called police for help claiming that the child was stuck inside the car and that the water was rushing inside before the call went off: "Our 911 dispatchers were on the line with the victim the whole time and eventually had lost contact with her," Douglass Township Chief John Dzurek told reporters.
