Watsonville news, California news.

Police are looking for a stolen plane that was stolen out of a central California airport and vanished from radar last month.

64-year-old Hugo Mar is suspected to be the pilot who crashed the plane. His family has reported him missing on July 1. He was a licensed private pilot and a member of the Santa Cruz Flying Club from where the plane has been stolen.

His car was found abandoned at the airport parking lot. The man has disappeared with the stolen plane about 3 miles out over the Santa Cruz coast. No wreckage or body has been found in the area until the moment.

Mar didn't make a reservation and had ignored the Federal Aviation Administration protocol which is suspicious for the aviation club.
