Phoenix news, Arizona news.

An Arizona man has been arrested only two days after he was released from jail when he fatally stabbed a teen who was listening to rap.

The events occurred on Thursday at a Circle K in Peoria where a 17-year-old boy was listening to rap music. The suspect, identified as Michael Adams, 27, walked up to him and slit his throat, according to witnesses. When questioned by police, the suspect said that rap music makes him feel insecure because he had been previously attacked by a group of people who were listening to that kind of music. However, he did admit that the victim did not provoke him.

The suspect has reportedly a history of mental illness. "They released him to the streets with no medication, no meds, with no way to care for himself," Adam's attorney said.
