Last month, Pelican Rapids Press posted high school graduation photos on its Facebook page, including photos of Somali students. After a Facebook commentator said the newspaper was "anti-American", editor Louis Hoglund used the pen to defend himself.
In a chronicle on June 12, Hoglund said sarcastically that his paper was "anti-American".
Hoglund invited the Facebook commentator to write a letter to the editor and attend a multicultural festival, a visual show that will certainly reinforce what it means to be American.
More than 100 people commented on the Hoglund column.
