An 11-year-old North Carolina boy has attacked a home intruder with a machete, leading to the suspect's arrest.
Braydon Smith was home alone when three men broke into the residence and forced him in a bedroom. The boy managed to get out of the closet and grabbed the machete he used to strike one of the invaders. "The intruder then kicked the child in the side of the head and turned to grab several items," according to the sheriff's office. "At this point, the intruder realized that he was bleeding significantly from the machete strike. He dropped the electronics, and fled the home."
The suspect, 19-year-old Jataveon Dashawn, was arrested after he reached a hospital for treatment.
