Boston news, Massachusetts news.

The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing with a new application that helps users relive the launch of the Apollo 11 mission in 1969.

The free application available now uses videos, images and audio recordings of the mission which, on July 20, 1969, led to Neil Armstrong's march on the moon.

The JFK Moonshot app will take users from July 16 to July 20 in an augmented reality journey from Earth to the Moon, giving everyone in the world the ability to visualize 120 hours of real-time tracking simulation.

The app also highlights President Kennedy's inspiration for the mission.
