Las Vegas news, Nevada news.

A 79-year-old Nevada prisoner who was sentenced to death in 2010 may once again have the opportunity to plead that he is not guilty.

The judge postponed Thursday a new trial date for John Matthias Watson III after prosecutors appealed the decision to the Nevada Supreme Court.

According to Watson's lawyer, Jamie Resch, Watson's trial lawyers had made colossal mistakes.

Everilda Watson's body was never found and John Watson, a retired mathematics teacher from Ontario, California, has always said he did not kill her.
