Police have identified the body of a man found stuffed in a bag on Monday as 24-year-old Deshawn Cortez-seaborne.
Investigators first responded to a bank on Odell Avenue, New York after a "suspicious duffel bag" was found near a dumpster.
About 12:04 p.m last Monday, police investigated the bag as a possible explosive device, but soon discovered that were human remains inside.
Public Information officier Sgt. Dean Politopoulos said on Wednesday that the victim was Deshawn Cortez-Seaborne, a 24-year-old resident of Port-Smouth, Virginia. He suffered multiple stab wounds to his back, torso, neck and head. Investigators are waiting for the autopsy report to help solve the case.
