Bossier City news,

A Bossier City woman has been indicted in the stabbing death of her husband, according to court documents.

Betty Jean Walker, 75, was charged with the deadly stabbing of her 71-year-old, Robert Walker in February. But has since been indicted on second-degree murder.

The incident occurred in the 5400 block of Foxglove Drive, where police officers discovered the body of an elderly man bleeding from a stabbing wound to the chest. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dr. Gary Booker testified on Walker's behalf claiming that he had been caring for her from July 2017 until February 2019. "I truly believe Mrs. Walker's memory and overall brain health is impaired to a critical degree," he said.
