Oregon authorities are intensifying the search for a woman and her son who went missing for over a week.
Karissa Alyn Fretwell, 25-year-old, and her son, William "Billy" Fretwell, 3-year-old, were last seen on May 17. A neighbor of the pair recalls hearing an altercation between the mother and a man: "We heard a man and a woman arguing incredibly loud," he said. "The man was swearing a lot and there was a kid crying in the background, and the woman was yelling at him to get out of her apartment."
A friend of the mother, Megan Harper, said that on May 11, Fretwell was asking about installing a security camera system. "I feel ill with worry about William," she said.
Fretwell was working as a security guard at night and studying at Western Oregon University.
