A Texas woman had died after she was fatally shot by an officer who was defending himself when she used the Taser on him.
The unidentified officer had reportedly recognized the woman who had outstanding warrants as he came across her, according to the Baytown Police Department statement.
When he tried to arrest her, the woman struggled to escape and refused to be handcuffed which escalated to a fight between her and the officer who tried to use his Taser but rather ended Tasered when the woman got hold of the device.
The 11-year veteran then opened fire at the woman killing her at the scene.
An investigation was launched into the fatal shooting by The Harris County District Attorney's Office.
