Drug lord Joaquin Guzman, also called El Chapo is "the most ruthless, dangerous, and feared man on the planet" according to The U.S. federal government, the former leader of the criminal organization Sinaloa Cartel killed a man after he refused to shake his hands at a meeting, a prosecution witness said in the trial on Monday.
the witness Jesus Zambada who is also the brother of Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada; Guzman right hand who led the Sinaloa Cartel with him confessed that Guzman performed a series of murders.
however, his testimony was attacked by one of Guzman's defence lawyers who noted that his testimony contradicted what the witness has originally said to U.S. prosecutors.
Zambia revealed that the man who refused to shake hands with the cartel leader was Rodolfo Carrillo a member of the rival Juarez Cartel and brother of its leader, Guzman killed the man the thing that fueled a war between cartels back in 2014.
Zambada admitted under cross-examination by lawyer William Purpura that aspects of his account may have changed. However, he maintained that his court testimony was true.
