Huntsville news, Texas news.

A Texas white inmate known for his racist crimes was executed Wednesday at the Huntsville state penitentiary in connection to the murder of a black man in June 7, 1998.

John William was found guilty in the murder of James Byrd Jr., a black man whose body was chained to William's car before being aggressively dragged for more than 5 kilometers and finally found ripped to many pieces, prosecutors said.

According to the victim's family member who was present during the execution's process, John William King died 12 minutes after being injected by the lethal dose of pentobarbital without showing any remorseful reaction: "He showed no remorse then and showed no remorse tonight."
