Santa Rosa news, California news.

According to one report, part of a massive, dead hammer sculpture at a community center in California's wine country has been returned.

The hammer's head was discovered by an anonymous owner of Sonoma County.

The metal ball hammer weighs 800 kg. and is valued at $ 15,000. Artist Doug Unkrey loaned the sculpture to the Healdsburg Community Center in 2017, which was stolen in October.

Santa Rosa's lawyer, Izaak Schwaiger, said that his client did not want to be named, but asked him to organize the return of the work.

Unkrey said the hammer's head needed repairs after it went missing.
