Kanye West has donated $150,000 to a GoFundMe for the mistakenly killed Jemel Roberson, the 26-year-old Chicago security guard who was fatally shot by police officers on November,11.
Roberson was working as security guard at a Chicago bar, when he intervened to stop a shooter. Responding officers from Midlothian Illinois, shot him thinking he was the shooter.
The fundraiser has exceeded the initial $150,000 goal to reach $308,000 in six days. The money will be spent for Roberson's burial and gave to his family.
The "GoFundMe" page reads that "Jemel Roberson was a young man greatly loved by all who know him. He was a gifted basketball player and musician"..."sadly Jemel's life was tragically and unexpectedly cut short this morning as he tried to save others from senseless violence."
