An 18-year-old teen was formally charged with violating animal owner's duties after ten dogs were discovered inside his home located on the 1000 block of Pine Grove Court last Saturday, according to Vernon Hills police.
As officials arrived at the house, they noticed a strong odor from inside. All dogs discovered in deplorable condition were transferred to the Lake County animal control, reports said.
Anthony Shehter was apprehended without incident.
In additional to the previous charges, Shehter faces unlawful possession of a title without complete assignment charges after cops noticed a car inside his garage while searching the area, media sources reported.
Anthony was released after posting $3,000 bail.
