New evidence emerges in case of Massachusetts murder-suicide

"Overwhelming evidence" found by investigators accused a Massachusetts father of killing his wife and their three kids inside the family's home before setting fire and taking his own life, police said.

The grisly crime was discovered while firefighters responded to a blaze that believed to be intentionally set on March 13. according to reports.

The victims were identified as 41-year-old Luke Karpinski and and his wife, their twins, 7, and a 3-year-old toddler.

Two 20-pound propane tanks on the upper floor were discovered by investigators.

District Attorney Andrea Harrington reported: "This investigation is complex and ongoing, but we have uncovered overwhelming evidence suggesting that Luke Karpinski killed his wife and children prior to committing suicide."
