Wanted gang-member found hiding in refrigerator

Pomona police have arrested a gang member on suspicion of gun and drug violations after they caught him hiding in a refrigerator last Saturday.

Pomona police Department Cpl. J. HAernandez stated that 23-year-old Michael Ruben Lopez Jr. remains in prison in connection with suspicion of multiples gun-and firearm-related crimes that belonged to the 100 block of West Kingsley Avenue event.

The suspect was in the passenger seat in a vehicle assigned by officials to a gang suppression task force pulled over for traffic violations. Lopez has the opportunity to get out the vehicle when it was stopped.

Authorities intensified the search in order to arrest him with the intervention of a police helicopter.

Hernandez claimed: "Inside of a close refrigerator, the suspect was located hiding."
