Riverside news, California news.

Jury convicted a California suspect for the murder of a teenager girl who was abducted while walking to her close friend's home from summer school course, reports said.

42-year-old Jesse Perez Torres was found guilty of the grisly killing of Norma Angelica Lopez, 17, who was abducted before police discovered her dismembered body in a farmer's field over the summer of 2010.

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco claimed to a news outlet: "This was really everyone's worst nightmare. She could have been anyone's daughter. It could have been your daughter."

According to Bianco, as the guilty verdict was reading, Torres was repeatedly drinking water without making any reaction.
