NFL wide receiver turns himself in after high speed car crash

Authorities announced the arrest of the NFL wide receiver Demarius Thomas who was accused of vehicular assault.

A warrant has been issued for the five-time Pro Bowler whose car has crashed in Denver in the middle of this month.

On Wednesday, Thomas decided to surrender to the Denver Police Department.

According to investigators, Thomas drove his car at a high rate speed which caused his vehicle to "tumble end over end" and land with serious damage.

Thomas who has sustained minor injuries following the accident was with two other men at the time of the crash. They were rushed to the hospital. One of them was severely injured.

The crash occurred around four days after Thomas's release from Houston Texans.

Thomas faces charges including driving without insurance.
