Greenville news, South Carolina news.

South Carolina parents were arrested after they allegedly tortured their children using peppers and hot sauce since 2017.

Both 37-year-old Robert Saladaga and Sabrina Emerick were taken into custody after their alleged assaults on their 7 and 5-year-old boys: "Heinous crimes against children are some of the most difficult cases we investigate," Greenville Police Lt. Jason Rampey reported. "The horrific stories of abuse endured by these children are sickening and reprehensible," he added.

Saladaga reportedly threw hot sauce on the boys's faces. He once opened fire at the eldest boy injuring his foot. The mother tried to strangle the little boy using a pillow then forced the two to have a cold or a hot shower as a sanction.

The couple faces several charges including cruelty to children.
