The snowy season will begin this week in cities along the East Coast, as Nor'easter is set to develop in the Gulf Coast Wednesday night.
The storm is expected to bring flooding rain, snow and sleet on Thursday and Friday in the Southeast, as weather alerts are in place across the majority of Ohio Valley, Midwest and Northeast. Georgia and Tennessee are expected to see heavy rain, while snow and freezing rain will be brought into the Ohio Valley.
Washington, Philadelphia and New York are all expected to receive at least 1 inch of snow. Some areas in the Northeast may receive more than 6 inches of snow.
