Former FBI Acting Director Andrew McCabe will present his views on the controversy involving President Donald Trump on "60 Minutes" this Sunday (CBS at 7:00 pm ET) / PT).

According to interviewer Scott Pelley, McCabe said Justice officials had asked the government to consider invoking the 25th amendment to remove Trump from office following his firing of the FBI president in 2017, James Comey.

McCabe publicly denounced his own dismissal by Attorney General Jeff Sessions in March 2018 as a "war against the FBI" on the part of the President.

McCabe's appearance on CBS precedes the publication of his book "The Threat: How the FBI Protects America in the Age of Terror and Trump".
