Navy police officer found guilty of 4 festival fatalities

A jury has convicted the navy police officer who was involved in the killings of four people after his vehicle plunged into crowd at a park in San Diego.

27-year-old Richard Sepolio faces charges of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. Jury were acquitted him of driving over the legal alcohol limit causing injury and reckless driving which could have sentenced him to live behind bars for more than 18 years.

Prosecutor Cally Bright expressed his satisfaction about the jury's decision: "This was a great outcome on this case; nothing will bring back the members lost that day."

The accident happened on Oct. 15, 2016 when four people died on the scene and seven others were severely injured.
