Last week, Allyn Pierce was evacuating people from endangered buildings driving his truck toward safety through the Camp Fire in Paradise. He lost his home and maybe his job as a nurse, at the Adventist Health Feather River hospital, and even his truck wasn't spared.
Pierce posted photos of his damaged truck on Instagram saying: "this truck literally saved my life today." He also posted older photos of him with the white truck.
But apparently, Toyota has heard about the story and generously decided to thank Pierce by replacing the truck.
The automaker said in a statement: "Toyota is so humbled by Mr. Pierce’s selfless act that we’re pleased to offer him a brand new Tundra."
