Man was struck and killed by a vehicle in an industrial part of Concord

A white adult man was killed by a car on Saturday night in an industrial area of the city, police said.

The unidentified man was found lying on the road near the Chicago Harbor Expressway and Arnold Industrial Road at about 6:20 pm, according to Concord police. His death at the scene was announced by paramedics.

The initial investigation revealed that the infantry was crossing the road when it was hit by a vehicle heading south on the Port Chicago road. Police said the driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

Police said alcohol did not seem to be the cause of the collision.
