New details emerge in the Redondo beach hit-and-run's case

California police announced Monday the arrest of a 21-year-old woman in connection with a deadly hit-and-run that took her college friend's life in Redondo Beach, Calif., last Saturday.

21-year-old Leila Gonzalez allegedly stopped shortly after the incident, but went back into her car and sped off without giving aid to the 21-old victim Angelina Pinedo, witnesses said.

Reports claimed that the events happened at around 9 .p.m in Redondo Beach about 20 miles south of Los Angeles when the victim and her sister were crossing the street. She died that same day.

Gonzalez is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday and is being held on $50,000. She is accused of suspicion of the felony hit-and-run.
