Man has died following a head-on crash in South Pambula today.

A report will be prepared for after the death of a man in a road accident in South Pambula today.

On Tuesday, January 22, 2019, emergency services were called on Mount Darragh Road, about 3 km west of Princes Highway, after the collision between a cement truck and a Mitsubishi Mirage sedan.

The driver of the Mitsubishi Mirage, a 45-year-old man, died on the scene.

The driver of the cement truck, a 59-year-old man from Cooma, was not injured. He was taken to the Bega District Hospital for mandatory tests.

Officers from the South Coast Police District have set up a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Mount Darragh Road is currently closed in both directions.
