Clackamas County deputies fatally shot the man who killed four members of his own family, including his baby daughter, and was about to kill an 8-year-old girl.
Mark Leo Gregory Gago, 42, killed his parents, his girlfriend and their infant daughter Saturday night before deputies shot him, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said.
The victim's manner of deaths is still undetermined yet, but authorities said They were not shot.
Sheriff’s office sergeant Brian Jensen said the causes of death will be investigated.
“We’re not sure what was used at this time,” Mr. Jensen told reporters near the scene on Sunday.
“I’ve been told that there were numerous weapons, swords, things of that nature in the residence.
“The investigators are trying to determine what exactly was used to kill each person.”
The sheriff's office identified the victims as Olivia Gago, nine months, Shaina Sweitzer, 31, Jerry Bremer, 66, and Pamela Bremer, 64.
Deputies were called to the gruesome scene at about 10:15 pm on Saturday from a resident of a home.
A woman was found dead outside the home while Gago was attacking his 8-year-old child who was identified later as his daughter from a previous relationship.
Deputies found also a roommate who suffered non-life threatening injuries She was being treated at a hospital.
Gago had been previously arrested in August on unlawful possession of a weapon. details on the circumstances of the arrest or disposition of the case were not revealed yet.
