A 2-years-old boy died after falling from his mother's moving vehicle into the road where he was struck by another car on Jennings Station Road near Interstate 70 on Friday afternoon, St. Louis County police said.
The child was taken to a hospital in critical condition where shortly after arriving he died from his injuries.
The boy's mother called 911 at about 4:48 p.m. after picking the injured child to a nearby gas station.
The Bureau of Crimes Against Persons Unit is investigating the case. Police said the driver of the car that struck the boy is cooperating.
