A Kentucky teen was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly tried to poison his mother by pouring bleach in her drink, according to Kentucky State Police.
Justin Adkins, 18-year-old, was charged over the last weekend. A woman called to report that her son attempted to poison her after she could smell the chemical product in the beverage.
After his arrest, Adkins admitted pouring bleach in his mother's drink, but only " a little bit." He also told police he only wanted his mom to get sick, but he didn't want her to die. Investigators reportedly could smell the chemical when they first observed the drink.
Adkins was placed under arrest on charges of wanton endangerment and assault. He was booked and released Sunday from the Pike County Detention Center.
