Teen seriously injured after a single vehicle crash east of Yass.

Delays are expected on Hume Highway following a collision of a vehicle east of Yass.

On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at approximately 1.45 pm, RAV4 headed south on the Hume Expressway, approximately 15 km east of Yass, when the driver lost control of his vehicle and is crushed against a guard.

An 18-year-old woman in one of the front seats was seriously injured and transported to Canberra Hospital in critical but stable condition.

The 53-year-old driver, as well as a 39-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl. They were treated.

An accident unit is brought to the scene to conduct investigations.

A track remains open while scanning the scene. The delay is expected.
