A man has died, and another man has had his charges upgraded to murder- South Grafton

Officers from the Coffs / Clarence police station reported that two men were arguing at their home on the Gardenia Road at about 3:40 am on Saturday, January 5, 2019, when one of them was stabbed twice in the abdomen.

The 28-year-old man was treated at the scene before been taken to Grafton Hospital and transported to John Hunter Hospital in critical condition.

Sunday, January 6, 2019, around 8 p.m., the man died in hospital.

A 33-year-old South Grafton man, arrested shortly after the incident, was taken to the Grafton Police Station where he was charged with an injury with intent to cause serious bodily harm.

Today, Monday, January 7, 2019, these charges have been improved to kill.

He is scheduled to appear at the Grafton Local Court today, Monday, January 7, 2019.
